About Us

Our Ethos is to provide a secure, safe and fun environment that allows children to follow their interests and develop curiosity as they explore our wide range of resources and activities on offer.

We  take children out locally so they engage in the community, learn about road safety and enjoy physical exercise. We grow fruit and vegetables with the children, join in with special cultural festivals and days and plan for individual children's learning in tandem with parents and any specialists that may work with our children and  families.

We use a secure online record keeping system to record photo's, observations and learning and development.

We are two registered Childminders working together with assistants who are all at least level 3 qualified providing a home from home childcare service. Our experience is extensive: Joanna having worked previously as a Nursery manager and Quality development officer, Local Authority home based childcare support, as a Childcare trainer and Assessor and Adult tutor for childcare professional development courses, and holding a BA Hons in Early Years Care & Education. Karen has worked previously as a nursery officer and a nanny and holds a level 3 early years childcare & educator qualification. Our assistants/support staff are all well qualified at level 3 to level 7. All staff hold paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, Safeguarding & Child Protection training as well as holding enhanced DBS certificates.

We are registered for 18 children under 8 years but take 11-12 children aged 0-5 daily to allow us to keep adult to child ratios low and give each child the support and teaching to help them develop and learn through play based activities that nurture a sense of wonder and joy.
